Module 6.Studying in the European Higher Education Area.

Part 2: Methodological issues

4. Teaching and learning methods

The concept of “teaching and learning method” refers to the decisions taken by teaching staff regarding procedures and resources to be adopted in the learning process. These have to meet the learning objectives set to create a unified and coherent action plan. In this sense, methods can vary depending on the specific learning needs and the nature of learning objectives.

Learning methods can be applied to different scenarios, though some seem to be more directly related to a face-to-face/autonomous learning. Finally, the importance of benefiting from various perspectives and approaches to make the most of students’ learning must be stressed.
